We are very excited to invite you to the 6th Annual Berkshire Triathlon! In our first five years, we raised more than $45,000 for children with serious illnesses in Central Ohio. Our goal for 2017 is to raise that amount THIS YEAR.
We hope you'll join our efforts, and now you have three terrific ways to get involved:
Do a TRIATHLON (swim>bike>run>party!)
Do a DUATHLON (run>bike>run>party!)
Be a RACE DAY SUPPORTER (cheer>donate>party!)
*Remember: The Berkshire Triathlon is sprint distance and entirely noncompetitive. Teaming up with new and old friends (even the day-of) to split or share events is absolutely welcomed. (And it's also cool if you want to push for your personal best.)
While all three of these options encourage you to live our guiding mission (#beactive | #bemerry | #helpsickkids), they each also invite you to reach out to your friends, families, and colleagues to turn your registration donation into a big, beautiful contribution that will directly impact the lives of local families in need. This year, 100% of the proceeds generated through registrations go to Flying Horse Farms, while 100% of our silent auction proceeds go to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
Flying Horse Farms truly is a magical world set apart from illness and life's stresses. There, on over 200 wooded acres just outside Mt. Gilead, Ohio, among lakes and limitless space for exploration and fun, campers no longer feel like patients, and their illnesses are no longer what makes them unique.
Meanwhile, The Columbus Ronald McDonald House grants ill children the daily security and support they need and deserve by providing families a comfortable, safe, clean, and accommodating home-away-from home right across the street from Nationwide Children's Hospital. Thanks to generous donations from people like you, no family is ever turned away from the "House with a Heart."
And if you needed one more reason to sign up, ALL of our participants will be treated to a City Barbecue feast at the finish line!
Won't you join us? We certainly hope so.
